Deona Williams is a passionate technologist who loves to solve a good problem. She is a Senior Engineer at Target Corporation in Minneapolis, MN.
Deona has worked different roles in software engineering and loves guiding new people in their roles. This shows true in her mentorship to new team members and her community engagement with projects centered around software engineering.
Safety for the imposter
Imposter syndrome is the belief that one’s success was not deserved based on their skills or the effort they put forth, but only occurred because of happenstance or luck.
In this talk we will discuss the different ways imposter syndrome shows up and how we can create a safe environment for ourselves when we experience it and for others when we notice they are experiencing it.
